AIMI Visual Media produced a 1 minute 29 second product video for Mubeier’s children’s protective mask, a mother and baby brand story built around a mother fitting the mask on her daughter at home. Shot on a Sony A7 IV at 1920×1080, 25fps, the film was scripted, shot, and finished in 8 business days.

The brief from Mubeier centered on one product truth: the brand had developed its children’s protective mask in three different sizes so it actually fits a child’s face. The buying decision in this category belongs to mothers, so lab data about protection parameters was the wrong language. We chose a home scene where a mother bends down and adjusts the mask’s ear straps on her daughter, with a bright living room, shallow depth of field, and soft high-key light carrying the “choose right for your child” reassurance.

Creative Concept
The strategy paired parent-child emotion with specification evidence. Instead of quoting filtration numbers, the film lets the act of a mother fitting the mask, and the look she exchanges with her daughter, carry the safety message. One caption, “developed three different sizes of protective mask,” pins the answer to the fit pain point directly into the picture. High-key soft light and a warm white and beige palette set the visual language of the mother and baby category: clean, gentle, and calm.
Production
We shot on a Sony A7 IV with the FE 85mm F1.4 GM, recording 1080p at 25fps; the long lens throws the grey sofa and doodle board into a soft wash behind mother and child. An Aputure 300D II through a softbox gave the high-key base, exposed one stop up at 5600K so skin tones stayed natural at CRI 97+. The Ronin RS3 covered the gentle moves. Action was choreographed in three beats: put on, adjust, exchange a smile. Edit ran in Premiere Pro, grade in DaVinci Resolve, caption packaging in After Effects.
Production Challenges
1. A child model’s cooperation window is short and shrinks fast. We asked the mother about the child’s routine and booked her best hours. Camera and lighting were fully preset before the child entered, and the formal scene wrapped inside 40 minutes, with long-take candid coverage replacing repeated posed setups. Nothing was left to improvise once she was in the room.
2. A white mask blows out under high-key light and loses texture. We metered the mask separately and set exposure a third of a stop down from the white product. In DaVinci Resolve, power windows lifted skin tones and the background on their own tracks, so product detail survived the bright look and the mask kept its texture.
3. Ear straps and buckles are hard to hold in shallow focus. Focus was preset on the mask body during fitting actions, and the talent slowed her hands at the adjustment moment to give the focus pull time. Key close-ups of straps and buckles were reshot separately at f/4 to keep the hardware crisp.

Where the Film Lives
The horizontal master sits on the brand’s flagship store detail page, the website product page, mother and baby expo booth screens, and in-store TVs. A 30 second vertical cut (1080×1920) covers Douyin feed ads, Xiaohongshu mother and baby accounts, WeChat Channels, and Moments ads. We also pulled stills of the fitting moment and mask close-ups as detail page images and the cover frame for the product’s main video slot.
Mother and baby work is about letting a mother see herself on screen. Real is not the same as casual: the child’s window, the mother’s prompts, the product’s entrance all get designed in advance. And with white products, meter for the product and give skin back in the grade. — Garbo, Director of Photography
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does a mother and baby product video take?
On this project: 3 business days for script and casting confirmation, 1 day of staged interior shooting, and 4 business days of edit and grade, 8 in total. Rush schedules can be discussed; timing and any rush fee are confirmed with our team first.
How much does a product video like this cost?
Quoted per project, itemized from your brief: script planning, casting, location or set work, edit, grade, and licensed music are listed line by line. Share your product list and usage channels via the contact page for a detailed proposal.
Who provides the child model, and how is it billed?
Either side. We can recommend from our model roster, with fees based on credentials and hours, and child models are always accompanied by a parent. Clients may also arrange their own. Child shoots are best kept inside 4 hours, with the order adjusted to the child’s state.
How do you show three sizes in one video?
Two common routes: give each size its own scene with a different-aged child, or line them up in one frame for comparison. Here a caption line about the three-size development story threads them together, so sizing reads clearly without breaking the emotional spine.
What compliance points apply to mother and baby ads?
Claims must not overstate function, protection claims need test reports behind them, and a child on camera requires guardian authorization. We check wording at script stage against documents the client provides, and we recommend reviewing each platform’s latest policies before placement.
What should the client provide?
Three to five sets of product covering every size, selling points and test certifications, brand VI guidelines, and a target-customer profile. For white or light-colored products, send factory-sealed samples so the on-camera finish is clean.
Can our own child appear in the video?
Yes, and a real customer family often reads as more convincing. A portrait release is required, signed by the guardian for minors. We suggest familiarizing the child with the set beforehand and keeping the session inside 2 to 3 hours with breaks.
What formats do you deliver, and for which platforms?
Standard delivery is MP4 (H.265) in 16:9 for detail pages, the brand website, and store TVs, plus a 9:16 vertical for Douyin, Xiaohongshu, and WeChat Channels. A ProRes 422 master MOV is available for any later recutting.
Who handles music licensing?
We select from a licensed commercial music library, and that cost is already in the quote. Light piano and gentle strings are the usual register for this category and the library covers both. If you want a specific commercial track, its license sits with you.
How do out-of-town clients work with you?
Samples arrive by insured courier with return shipping on us, scripts are revised together in shared documents, casting is confirmed over video call, and finals ship via cloud drive. Roughly 30% of our clients are out of town, so the remote workflow is well practiced.
