The client sells traditional auspicious car charms: a green pixiu, a white gourd and a dragon medallion, each strung with beaded tassels on braided cords. The brief asked for context frames that show the charm at the mirror and detail frames that prove the material, since buyers zoom for finish before they compare price. All seven frames were photographed at the AIMI Visual Media studio in Guangzhou, China.

Photography Challenges
1. High-gloss faux jade blows out under hard light. Polished resin surfaces specular easily and read as flat white blobs. A large soft source placed above and slightly behind the pendant lets the carved edges carry a bright line while the body keeps its color depth, so the material suggests jade rather than plastic.
2. Dense beadwork collapses into black noise. The tassels pack hundreds of tiny faceted beads into one mass. The strands are separated by hand on the reflective black surface and lit from a low side angle, keeping each bead row readable instead of merging into a solid block.
3. In-car context must not steal the product. Mirror-hung frames need enough cabin to give scale, but dash lines and vents compete for attention. Tight crops at the windshield keep two or three interior cues and let daylight through the glass do the lighting, so the charm stays dominant.
Our Approach
Mirror context frames.
Frames 01-03 hang each design from the rearview mirror and frame it against the dashboard, using windshield daylight as key so the buyer sees exactly how the charm sits in a real car.
Reflective black detail studies.
Frames 04 and 05 isolate the pendants on a gloss black surface, shot low so the mirror reflection doubles the carved profile and gives the listing a premium detail image.
Macro construction passes.
Frames 06 and 07 move in on the bead clusters, spacer rings and tassel strands, because construction close-ups are what justify the price tier on charm listings.
"Charm photography is jewelry discipline on an accessories budget. Control the gloss and a resin piece photographs like stone." — June, Product Photography Team Lead

Frequently Asked Questions
How is a car charm product line priced?
Styled in-car and reflective-studio frames sit in our Growth package from $35 per image, white-background versions start from $12 per image under Essential, and full A+ Content sets start from $80 per SKU under Premium. All rates are starting prices, and the final quote depends on your requirements.
How do you make resin look like jade in a photo?
By shaping the light rather than retouching the color. A soft overhead source with flagged edges keeps the pendant surface deep and lets the carving carry fine highlight lines, which is how real stone reads on camera.
Can you hang the charms in our own vehicle?
Yes. We can rig the charms in a vehicle you provide or use our consistent interior set, and the mirror, vent and dash cues are framed the same way across your whole line.
Do you also shoot white-background versions?
Yes. Pure white-background shots for Amazon main image slots start from $12 per image under our Essential package. All final files are delivered at 2000x2000px sRGB, which exceeds Amazon's 1000px minimum requirement for the zoom feature, and include a full commercial license.
