Car Key Fob Case Library Photography

The client sells leather key fob cases badged for different car marques, in oval zip and slip-on styles with matching gift boxes. The brief asked for one library where the badge is the variable and everything else stays constant, so buyers for each car brand land on a frame that feels made for them. All nine frames were photographed at the AIMI Visual Media studio in Guangzhou, China.

Photography Challenges

1. Nine badge variants must line up as one catalog. The Audi, Ford, Volkswagen, Skoda and Hyundai versions share the same case shapes. Camera position and surface are locked per grouping, so the badge becomes the single variable and the range reads as one designed system.

2. Chrome hardware fights the exposure. Zippers, clasps and enamel badges sit several stops above the leather. Exposure is set for the metal, with fill cards lifting the leather back, so neither the chrome clips nor the stitching sinks.

3. Debossed logos vanish in flat light. Tonal embossing has no ink to catch the eye. A raking source skims across the case face so the roundel reads through its shadow edges, legible at thumbnail size without any post darkening.
