Car Vent Air Freshener Photography

The client sells a clip-on vent air freshener shaped as a faceted bulldog, with a solid scent pad inside and a spring clip that grips vent slats. The brief asked for install frames that prove the clip works across vent designs and colorways that buyers can browse one by one. All five frames were photographed at the AIMI Visual Media studio in Guangzhou, China.

Photography Challenges

1. Four metallic colorways must stay consistent. Black, red, silver and rose gold shells share one faceted shape. The camera position at the vent is locked and only the product changes, so a buyer flipping between colorways compares finish rather than angle.

2. Electroplated shells mirror the whole cabin. The polished rose gold and chrome finishes reflect windows, screens and trim. A scrimmed key from the windshield side keeps one controlled highlight across the facets instead of a map of the interior.

3. A small product drowns in a busy dashboard. The freshener is palm-sized against infotainment screens and button banks. Close focus with shallow depth of field isolates it while the vent slats stay readable, keeping the mounting context that the listing needs.
