The client was developing a clip-on vent freshener shaped as a faceted bulldog and needed the finish range decided before tooling. The design was rendered across ten colorways and eyewear variants, from candy red to antique bronze, so each option could be compared at listing size before committing to production. All frames were produced at the AIMI Visual Media studio in Guangzhou, China.

Design and Visualization Challenges

1. Metallic renders must separate on white. Chrome, rose gold and gunmetal finishes vanish against a white page without environment reflection. Each variant carries a neutral studio reflection map, so facets read as metal rather than gray plastic.

2. Ten variants must stay perfectly comparable. Finish decisions fail when angle or size drifts between options. The model, camera and crop are locked across the set, so the buyer compares finish and eyewear, never perspective.

3. Colorway decisions happen at thumbnail size. The library is judged in a grid, not at full resolution. Every variant is checked at listing dimensions, and facet contrast is tuned so the shape stays legible when small.

Our Approach

One locked base model.

The bulldog asset is finalized once, then held fixed for the entire series, so finish is the only variable across the ten frames.

Finish matrix coverage.

Frames walk the range from candy red and black through champagne, rose gold, yellow gold, chrome and antique bronze, with eyewear variants included for the sunglasses and visor options.

Decision-ready delivery.

Every variant ships at listing dimensions plus high-resolution masters, so the same files serve the decision meeting and the eventual product page.

"Rendering the range before tooling turns an argument about taste into a comparison of finishes. Ten frames later, the decision makes itself." — June, Product Photography Team Lead

Frequently Asked Questions

How is a visualization library priced?

Design visualization scope is quoted per project, while the photography side of your launch follows our three packages: Essential from $12 per image, Growth from $35 per image and Premium from $80 per SKU. All rates are starting prices, and the final quote depends on your requirements.

Why render colorways instead of photographing samples?

Because the range had not been tooled yet. Rendering ten finishes from one locked asset lets you decide the range before production, and the winners can be photographed after manufacturing.

Can the winning colorways be photographed later in the same style?

Yes. Once units exist, we photograph the produced finishes in-car under our Growth package, with angles matched to the renders so the library upgrades without a redesign.

Can we add white-background photos for marketplace slots?

Yes. Pure white-background shots for Amazon main image slots start from $12 per image under our Essential package. All final files are delivered at 2000x2000px sRGB, which exceeds Amazon's 1000px minimum requirement for the zoom feature, and include a full commercial license.
