This product sells in two moments: the tube on the listing page, and the gift box in someone’s hands. The session covered both, moving from stripped-down white packshots to the box presentation frames, holding the blush-pink brand color constant across matte tube, printed carton and lined gift box interior.

Photography Challenges

1. One pink across four substrates. The brand pink lives on matte tube plastic, printed carton board and lined gift-box card. Each substrate shifts the hue, and the set only reads as one product when the pink lands identical in every frame.

2. A windowed box that steals its own show. The gift box frames the tube behind a die-cut window. Photographed wrong, the window shadows the product; photographed right, the box becomes a frame within the frame.

3. Pearlescent and gloss hardware. The tube’s pearlescent cap and the pump bottle’s gloss black dispenser both pick up the studio. Each needed its own reflection cards to keep the hardware clean.

Our Approach

Substrate-by-substrate verification

The physical tube, carton and box stayed on set as color references, and frames were checked against them on a calibrated monitor, so the brand pink never drifts between pack and packaging.

Box-as-frame lighting

For the windowed gift box, a small source inside the box lifted the recess while the key light held the exterior, so the tube reads bright inside its pink frame instead of sinking into shadow.

Singles before sets

Tube and cartons were shot clean first, then the box assembly frames, so the gallery covers every slot from main image to gifting story without a second session.

"Packaging photography is translation: the same brand color, the same product, spoken fluently in tube, carton and gift box. Accent drift between substrates is the most common way a set stops looking like one brand." — June, Product Photography Team Lead

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you shoot a product and all its packaging in one session?

Yes. We schedule singles first, then carton pairs, then gift-box presentation frames. One locked setup, one color target, and the full packaging story in a single booking.

How do you keep brand colors consistent across different packaging?

By keeping the physical items on set as references and verifying frames against them during the shoot. Tube plastic, carton board and box lining all shift color differently; we tune each frame to the reference, not to memory.

Do you photograph gift boxes with the product inside?

Yes. Windowed and hinged boxes are shot with the product seated, using an interior lift light so the product reads bright inside the box. The box frames the product; the lighting makes sure it stays the subject.

A product that lives in more than one package?

Send the full packaging set. We will shoot every format in one locked setup and deliver a gallery where the color never breaks from tube to gift box.
