The client sells cartoon character storage organizers to home goods buyers and commissioned AIMI Visual Media in Guangzhou, China to photograph the line for its e-commerce listings. The range covers no-drill wall-mounted caddies and countertop containers molded as animal faces: a cat, a duck, a bear, and a bunny. We delivered 8 styled images from our Guangzhou studio: an installation frame showing the adhesive hook mount, in-use frames in a bathroom and a kitchen, and range lineups on a marble island, all built on a showroom-style kitchen and bath set under a full commercial license.

Photography Challenges

1. White cat on white marble. The cat caddy is glossy white plastic mounted on a white marble wall. Without edge discipline the product dissolves into the background, so the white frames use negative fill and a half-stop darker wall exposure to carve the outline back.

2. Four characters, one family. Cat, duck, bear, and bunny share one listing gallery. The lineup frames group them under one locked light recipe so no character looks like it came from a different shoot, and the grade holds their accent colors, the pink bow, the orange beak, inside one saturation ceiling.

3. The mount is the message. A no-drill caddy sells on the adhesive hook, but the hook hides behind the product. The installation frame splits the action: the caddy lifts toward the hook in a hand, so the buyer sees both parts and understands the mount in one glance.

4. Glossy plastic on glossy marble. Both surfaces throw reflections, and together they double every light source in the studio. The set works with one large soft source plus flags, so each surface carries a single clean highlight instead of a map of the room.

Our Approach

Installation and In-Use Frames

The opening frames answer the two questions buyers ask: how does it mount, and what does it hold. The installation frame shows the caddy meeting the adhesive hook on a marble wall, shot at 70mm so the hook and the back plate stay in one focus plane. The in-use frames load the caddies with pump bottles, wooden utensils, scissors, and tools, because an empty organizer asks the buyer to imagine capacity while a loaded one proves it.

Range Lineups

The lineup frames stage the full cast on a marble island in a showroom kitchen: 3 countertop containers in one frame, 6 character pieces in another, shot straight-on at counter height with the 24-70mm at 50mm so every face sits square and readable. The dark backsplash behind the island throws the white and yellow characters forward without any extra rim light.

Post-Production and Retouching

All 8 frames grade to one bright, clean master: white balance locked at 5000K, -15 highlight recovery on the glossy plastic, and the white characters held a half step under the marble so edges survive. Smudges on the glossy faces were cleaned at 200% zoom, and accent colors matched to the physical products within DeltaE 2. Files were delivered at 2000x2000px sRGB in JPEG (quality 90) and WebP, ready for Amazon image slots and A+ Content.

"White on white is not a lighting problem, it is a discipline problem. Make the wall half a stop darker and the product earns its outline." June, Product Photography Team Lead

Frequently Asked Questions

What does an 8-image styled set like this cost?

This 8-image set prices at about $280 at the $35 per-image scene rate, set styling and props included. White-background packshots of each character for main-image slots start at $12 per image, and orders of 10 or more SKUs take 10% off.

How long does an 8-image organizer shoot take?

This set was delivered in 5 business days, inside our standard 5-7 business day schedule. The kitchen and bath sets stay dressed through the session, so the time goes into loading, leveling, and re-cleaning the glossy characters between frames.

Can these styled scenes be used on Amazon?

They are built for secondary slots, A+ Content, and Storefront pages, delivered at 2000x2000px sRGB, above Amazon's 1000px zoom minimum. The main image needs one organizer alone on pure white, which we add at $12 per image per character.

How do you show the adhesive mount without hiding the product?

With a split-action frame: the caddy lifts toward the hook in a hand, so the hook, the back plate, and the product all read in one glance. It answers the buyer's first question, how it mounts, without a word of copy.

How do you keep a white product visible on a white wall?

Exposure discipline, not contrast tricks. The wall meters about half a stop under the product, negative fill carves the outline, and retouching holds the white plastic a step under the marble so the edges survive even at thumbnail size.

Can you photograph the full character range together?

Yes. The lineup frames group 3 and 6 pieces on the marble island under one locked light recipe, so every character reads as part of one family. Range frames like these anchor A+ comparison charts and Storefront pages.
