Chrome Faucet Photography

Faucets are mirrors with threads: every surface reflects the room you shoot in. AIMI Visual Media in Guangzhou, China shot 6 images in our Guangzhou studio across two registers: the basin mixer installed and running, aerated stream catching light against the warm wood backdrop, and five dark-studio frames where pivot spouts, folding designs, and mounting hardware sit on the charcoal plane with nothing but their own reflections, all under a full commercial license.

Photography Challenges

1. Chrome shows your studio, not the product. Polished chrome is a fisheye mirror of everything in the room. We build a controlled reflection environment: large white sources placed so they become the product's highlight strips, everything else flagged to black. The light you see on the metal is the only light in the room.

2. Highlight strips define the form. On a cylinder, one clean vertical strip per surface plane tells the buyer 'machined and polished'. Broken or multiple strips read as dents. We walk the light until each face carries exactly one.

3. Running water proves the aerator. The installed frame shows the stream: full, aerated, splash-free. That is the aerator's job description photographed, which no spec bullet can match.

4. Uninstalled frames are the hardware truth. Threads, washers, mounting studs, the brass tail: trade buyers zoom for exactly these. We lay the faucet horizontal so every component faces camera: the install story in one frame.

Retouching

All 6 frames keep the metal honest: highlight strips clean, no clone-stamped reflections, dust removed, and brass tails true gold. Files went out at 2000x2000px sRGB in JPEG (quality 90) and WebP, ready for Amazon listings and A+ Content.
