The client sells mirror-polished stainless pots with cobalt stay-cool grips and asked AIMI Visual Media in Guangzhou, China for the two-register coverage every cookware listing needs: the pot living in a kitchen, and the pot alone on white. We shot 9 images in our Guangzhou studio: 5 on the weathered concrete set with knife blocks, utensil crocks, and the gooseneck kettle, then 4 clean packshots including the self-standing lid trick, all under a full commercial license.

Photography Challenges

1. Mirror steel doubles every light in the room. A polished pot reflects the whole studio: softboxes, stands, the photographer. We light with one large overhead source and flag the rest, so the body carries one continuous gradient: the pot reads as a single crafted object, not a panorama of our ceiling.

2. The blue grip is the product's signature. Cobalt silicone on silver steel is how buyers recognize this line. We keep it the only saturated color in frame: grey concrete, silver steel, blue grips. The eye lands on the stay-cool feature before any copy explains it.

3. Concrete makes steel look expensive. White on white flattens cookware. The weathered concrete wall adds texture the mirror finish can play against: matte roughness behind, liquid metal in front. Contrast is what makes steel look premium.

4. The self-standing lid needs a demo frame. The lid hooks upright on the pot rim, a real design feature. We photograph it hooked, glass vertical, handle up: one frame that explains a feature words would need a paragraph for.

Our Approach

The Concrete Scene Frames

The pot staged with the knife block, stacked wooden bowls, utensil crock, and gooseneck kettle: the full kitchen ecosystem in weathered grey, with the blue grips as the only color notes.

The Lid Feature Frames

The glass lid hooked upright on the rim and propped inside the pot: the self-standing design demonstrated, plus the polished interior visible through the glass.

The White Packshots

Front, three-quarter, and top-angle on seamless white: rolled rim, brushed interior, riveted handles, and grip pads at catalog resolution for the main listing slots.

Retouching

All 9 frames keep the metal honest: gradients continuous, concrete texture visible, grips true cobalt, and whites at 245-252. Files went out at 2000x2000px sRGB in JPEG (quality 90) and WebP, ready for Amazon listings and A+ Content.

"Cookware sells in 2 registers: the pot in a kitchen for desire, the pot on white for specs. The blue grip carries both." June, Product Photography Team Lead

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a 9-image set like this cost?

This set came to about $223: 5 styled kitchen images at $35 each plus 4 white-background packshots at $12 each. Sets of 10 or more items get 10% off.

How long does the shoot take?

These 9 images were delivered in 5 business days. Concrete scenes and white packshots run as two blocks in the same session.

Do the white packshots work as Amazon main images?

Yes. Product-on-pure-white at 2000x2000px meets Amazon's main-image rules. The concrete scenes go in the secondary slots and A+ Content.

How do you photograph mirror-polished steel?

With one large overhead source and flags on everything else. The pot carries one continuous gradient instead of a map of the studio ceiling: the metal reads as crafted, not chaotic.

Why shoot cookware on concrete?

White on white flattens steel. The weathered concrete adds matte texture for the mirror finish to play against: rough behind, liquid metal in front. Contrast is what makes steel look premium.

Can you add more pieces of the set later?

Yes. The concrete set and the lighting template stay on file, so new pots and pans match this set exactly, at the standard $12 or $35 per-image rates.
