Gooseneck Kitchen Faucet Product Photography

The client sells a chrome gooseneck kitchen faucet and asked AIMI Visual Media in Guangzhou, China to shoot it for online listings. The tap has a high J-arc spout, single lever, and brass threaded fittings. We shot 11 images in our Guangzhou studio on black gloss: the faucet wet with splash, resting on a digital scale, laid out with its hoses and hardware in a box-contents flat lay, macro details of the lever and aerator, and one frame of gloved hands presenting it, all under a full commercial license.

Photography Challenges

1. Chrome on black is unforgiving. Every fingerprint and every light in the room prints on the metal. We flagged the set dark, polished between frames, and kept one long softbox as the only thing the chrome is allowed to see, so reflections read as clean streaks.

2. Weight is a spec buyers feel. The scale frame puts the faucet on a digital kitchen scale: a quiet way to say 'solid brass' without writing it. Buyers comparing listings remember the photo that dared to weigh the product.

3. The box contents answer emails. Hoses, fittings, washers, manual, laid out in one flat lay. Half of all pre-sale questions are 'what comes with it', and this frame answers them in one glance.

4. Macros prove the machining. The aerator honeycomb, the lever edge, the spout curve: shot close, they show the finishing quality that wide shots only imply. Detail frames are where cheap taps lose and good ones win.

Retouching
