The client sells kitchen housewares and asked AIMI Visual Media in Guangzhou, China to shoot two product families for online listings: stainless thermal carafes, and 3-piece condiment jar sets with green lids. We shot 13 images in our Guangzhou studio: carafe packshots and details on white, including the red, blue, and champagne-gold colorways, plus kitchen scenes of the condiment sets with fresh vegetables, a spoonful of salt, and a cruet pouring soy sauce, all under a full commercial license.

Photography Challenges

1. A carafe is a curved mirror. The whole body is reflective steel. We lit with long softboxes so the highlights run as clean vertical bands, and let the dark gaps between them shape the curve: the reflections are the drawing.

2. Four colors, one silhouette. Red, blue, gold, and bare steel share one body. We kept camera, crop, and light recipe identical across colorways, so the catalog page compares color and nothing else.

3. Condiment sets sell freshness. Steel jars alone look clinical. We staged them with fresh peppers, cucumbers, and leafy greens, shot shallow so the vegetables blur into color: the props say 'fresh kitchen' while the jars stay sharp.

4. Hands prove the mechanism. A hand lifting a lid, spooning salt, pouring soy sauce: 3 frames show the flip lids, the spoon notches, and the cruet pour in action. Buyers understand the set faster from one hand than from three paragraphs.

Our Approach

Carafe Packshots and Details

The carafes get clean white packshots per colorway, plus detail crops of the press-pour lid, the spout lip, and the threaded mouth: the parts buyers ask about. The gold version's arched handle and base band get their own hero frame.

Condiment Kitchen Scenes

The jar sets work a bright countertop: three canisters in their green caddy, vegetables around, a hand mid-spoonful and mid-pour. These frames sell the morning-kitchen feeling the product lives in.

Retouching

All 13 frames keep metal honest: highlights as clean bands, body colors matched to the physical units (red stays red, gold stays champagne), and kitchen scenes kept bright and natural. Files went out at 2000x2000px sRGB in JPEG (quality 90) and WebP, ready for Amazon listings and A+ Content.

"Steel products are drawn with light, not with lines. Get the highlight bands right and the metal explains itself." June, Product Photography Team Lead

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a 13-image set like this cost?

This set came to about $271: 8 white-background and detail images at $12 each, plus 5 kitchen scenes at $35 each, hands and props included. With 10 or more items the whole order gets 10% off.

How long does the shoot take?

These 13 images were delivered in 5 business days. Two product families in one session is efficient: the carafes work the white sweep while the condiment sets work the counter.

Can kitchen scenes go on Amazon?

Yes, in the secondary slots, A+ Content, and your brand store, delivered at 2000x2000px. Main images must be the product alone on pure white, which this set already covers for the carafes.

How do you photograph mirror-polished steel?

With long softboxes and patience. The highlights must run as clean vertical bands, and the dark gaps between them shape the curve. The reflections are the drawing.

Can you show products in use?

Yes. The hand frames in this set show lids, spoons, and the cruet pour in action. In-use frames are included at the standard $35 scene rate, hands only, no models needed.

Can you add more colorways or jars later?

Yes. Both setups stay on file: same sweep bands for carafes, same counter and greens for the sets. New items match this gallery exactly, at the standard $12 or $35 per-image rates.
