The client sells handwoven rattan baskets and asked AIMI Visual Media in Guangzhou, China to shoot the line for online listings. The range covers deer-shaped baskets in 3 colors and graduated handle baskets. We shot 9 images in our Guangzhou studio's window set: the deer trio on the dining table, singles filled with vegetables and bottles, and the handle baskets carrying bread, fruit, and drinks, all under a full commercial license.

Photography Challenges
1. A basket must be photographed working. An empty basket is a shape; a filled basket is a use case. We filled every frame: vegetables in the deer, bottles in the brown one, bread and grapes in the handle baskets. Buyers shop the life the basket enables.
2. Rattan texture needs raking light. Front light flattens the weave. Our window light rakes across the surface, so every strand casts a tiny shadow and the hand-woven texture reads as craft, not plastic.
3. Three colors in one frame. The deer trio shows dark, natural, and brown in one shot: the range decision happens in a single image, which is how range photos should work.
4. The window is the lifestyle. The big gridded window behind the table is doing quiet work: it says 'bright country kitchen' without a single wall painted, and it backlights the weave so the baskets glow.
Our Approach
The Deer Trio
The hero frame lines up all 3 deer baskets on the dining table: dark, natural, and brown, each holding something different (branches, vegetables, a bottle). One frame sells the whole range and 3 use cases at once.
In-Use Scenes
The singles put each basket to work: vegetables spilling from the natural deer, bottles in the brown one, the handle baskets carrying bread, grapes, and drinks on plaid cloth. The plaid, the cutting board, and the wine glass make it a morning, not a warehouse.
Retouching
All 9 frames keep the materials honest: rattan warm and textured, fruit fresh, glassware clear, and the window glow soft. Files went out at 2000x2000px sRGB in JPEG (quality 90) and WebP, ready for Amazon listings and A+ Content.
"Baskets sell the life they hold. Fill them with breakfast, shoot by the window, and the weave does the rest." — June, Product Photography Team Lead

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a 9-image set like this cost?
This set came to about $315 at $35 per styled image, the window set and food props included. Plain white-background shots for main listing slots start at $12 each, and 10 or more items get 10% off.
How long does the shoot take?
These 9 images were delivered in 5 business days. One window set carries the session: the baskets rotate through trio, singles, and set scenes against the same light.
Can styled scenes go on Amazon?
Yes, in the secondary slots, A+ Content, and your brand store, delivered at 2000x2000px. Main images must be the basket alone on pure white, which we add at $12 per design.
Why photograph baskets filled with food?
Because an empty basket is a shape and a filled basket is a use case. Vegetables, bread, and bottles show capacity and purpose in one glance, which is what buyers are actually shopping.
How do you show the hand-woven texture?
With raking light from the window side. Every strand casts a tiny shadow, and the weave reads as hand craft instead of flat plastic.
Can you add more basket designs later?
Yes. The window set stays in the studio, so new shapes and colors slot into the same look, at the standard $12 or $35 per-image rates.
