The client's comfort line extends beyond the bed: U-shaped travel pillows, headboard neck cushions, and lumbar supports for chairs. AIMI Visual Media in Guangzhou, China shot 6 images in our Guangzhou studio with the model using each one as intended: the U-pillow held around her neck, the plush cushion against the ornate headboard, the navy lumbar support strapped to a wooden chair, all under a full commercial license. Garbo directed the model.

Photography Challenges

1. A neck pillow only makes sense on a neck. These cushions photographed alone are grey shapes. The product is the fit: the U-pillow cradling her jaw, the lumbar cushion filling the gap between her back and the chair. We shoot every cushion in its working position, because fit is the whole listing.

2. Three cushion types, three postures. Travel, headboard, and chair: each cushion answers a different posture. We build the shot list by use case (bed, headboard, wooden chair), so the buyer sees their own scenario in the set, not three interchangeable grey blobs.

3. Plush fabric eats light. Velour and microvelvet swallow soft light into flat grey. We rake a soft source across the pile, so the fabric reads as touchable texture instead of a matte void: softness you can see.

4. Small tags carry the brand. The woven tags and embroidery are thumbnail-small but zoom-critical. We keep them legible at 2000px, because buyers verifying the brand zoom straight to the tag.

Our Approach

The Neck Frames

The U-pillow around the model's neck, held with both hands, and the plush cushion cradling her head against the headboard: the travel and reading-in-bed scenarios, smile included.

The Chair Frames

The navy lumbar cushion strapped to the wooden chair with the model leaning back: the work-from-home posture, cushion visibly filling the lumbar gap.

The Mattress Frame

The grey neck pillow on the perforated latex surface: the cushion as part of the sleep system, tying the accessories line back to the bedding flagship.

Retouching

All 6 frames keep the set honest: pile texture visible, whites at 245-252, tags legible, and skin natural. Files went out at 2000x2000px sRGB in JPEG (quality 90) and WebP, ready for Amazon listings and A+ Content.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a 6-image model set like this cost?

This set came to about $270 at $45 per image with the model. White-background shots for main listing slots start at $12 each, and 10 or more items get 10% off the whole order.

How long does the shoot take?

These 6 images were delivered in 5 business days. The three cushion scenarios (bed, headboard, chair) shoot in one model session.

Can in-use model photos go on Amazon?

Yes, in the secondary slots, A+ Content, and your brand store, delivered at 2000x2000px. Main listing images must be the cushion alone on pure white, which we add at $12 each.

Why photograph every cushion in use?

Because these cushions photographed alone are just grey shapes. The product is the fit: the U-pillow cradling the jaw, the lumbar cushion filling the gap between back and chair.

How do you photograph plush fabric?

With a raked soft source across the pile. Velour swallows frontal light into flat grey; raking light makes the fabric read as touchable texture.

Can you add more cushion types later?

Yes. The sets and scenarios stay on file, so new cushions match this campaign, at the standard $12, $35, or $45 per-image rates.
