The client sells pillows and asked AIMI Visual Media in Guangzhou, China to shoot the line with models for online listings: the JOYSEA adult pillow and the kids pillows in blue and cream. We shot 5 images in our Guangzhou studio on the bedroom sets: a woman resting on the adult pillow, and toddlers hugging, leaning, and playing on the kids pillows, all under a full commercial license.

Photography Challenges
1. Softness cannot be photographed, only demonstrated. A pillow alone on a bed says nothing about comfort. A person resting their full weight on it, chin down and smiling, shows the give and support in one frame. The model is not decoration here; the model is the product demo.
2. Kids sell to parents, not to kids. The toddler frames are aimed at the adult holding the phone. We shoot the child hugging the pillow or kicking happily on it: the emotion parents buy is 'my kid will love this', and only a real child on the pillow delivers that.
3. White bedding eats detail. White pillow, white duvet, white walls: without care, the frame flattens into fog. We keep a light shadow logic and let the pastel accents, pink for the nursery and blue for the bolster, carry the separation.
4. The brand tag must survive retouching. The JOYSEA mark on the pillow is small. We flag its position during the shoot and protect it in retouching, so the brand survives at listing size.
Our Approach
The Adult Frame
The woman lies prone on the white bed, chin resting on the JOYSEA pillow, smiling at camera. The pose does 3 jobs at once: shows the pillow's loft under real weight, proves the size against a person, and gives the listing a face to trust.
The Kids Frames
The toddlers hug the cream pillow on the pink bed, play in the crib, and lean thoughtfully on the blue bolster. We shoot fast and keep the session playful, because a genuine kid expression beats a posed one every time.
Retouching
All 5 frames keep the scene honest: whites bright but textured, skin natural, pastel colors true, and the pillow loft unflattened. Files went out at 2000x2000px sRGB in JPEG (quality 90) and WebP, ready for Amazon listings and A+ Content.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a 5-image set like this cost?
This set came to about $225 at $45 per styled image with models, both bedroom sets included. Plain white-background shots for main listing slots start at $12 each, and 10 or more items get 10% off.
How long does the shoot take?
These 5 images were delivered in 5 business days. Kids' frames are shot in short playful bursts around naps and moods; the adult frames run on a normal schedule.
Can model scenes go on Amazon?
Yes, in the secondary slots, A+ Content, and your brand store, delivered at 2000x2000px. Main images must be the pillow alone on pure white, which we add at $12 per model.
Why use models for pillows at all?
Because softness cannot be photographed directly. A person resting real weight on the pillow demonstrates the give and the size in one frame: the model IS the product demo.
How do you photograph children naturally?
Short sessions, real play, fast shooting. A genuine toddler expression beats a posed one, so we set the scene and let the child do the acting.
Can you add more pillow models later?
Yes. The bedroom sets stay in the studio, so new pillows slot into the same scenes, at the standard $12, $35, or $45 per-image rates.
