dido doctor, a Chinese wellness brand, asked AIMI Visual Media in Guangzhou, China to sell two truths about its foot sauna at once: it is a therapy device, and it is furniture. We shot 8 images in our Guangzhou studio: the barrel in a warm bedroom with tea and a tablet resting on its flat top, then the same unit against black with the lid open, the bench-seat cutaway, and the control panel at macro distance, all under a full commercial license.

Photography Challenges

1. The top must sell as furniture. A foot sauna lives in the living room 23 hours a day, unused. The flat top with a teacup, a tablet, and a book answers the real objection: where does this thing go. We style it as the side table it doubles as, because furniture that hides in plain sight sells.

2. Warm light is the product promise. Infrared therapy is felt, not seen. We gel the scene light warm (around 3500K) and grade the walls amber, so the frame itself radiates gentle heat: the viewer feels the therapy before reading a spec.

3. Construction details close the B2B buyer. Distributors buy build quality: the carved lotus door, the brass hinges, the stone-inset foot slats, the bench-seat cutaway. Against black, every joint and engraving reads at full zoom: the wholesale argument, photographed.

4. The control panel is the ease-of-use proof. Wellness devices scare older buyers with complexity. The macro frame of the controller (time, intensity, temperature, zone buttons) shows a 3-step interface: press power, set minutes, done.

Our Approach

The Home Scene Frames

The barrel in the styled bedroom: door open showing the heating elements, top set with tea and a tablet, warm amber grading throughout. These are the DTC lifestyle frames that answer 'how does it live with me'.

The Furniture Frames

The same unit closed and dressed as a side table with a book, a rose, and a champagne flute: the second identity that justifies the floor space.

The Black-Background Frames

Front, lid-detail, cutaway, and controller macro against black: joinery, engraving, heating stones, and the 3-step interface at construction-documentation quality.

Retouching

All 8 frames keep the wood honest: grain warm and natural, carvings crisp, amber scenes at 3500K, and blacks clean. Files went out at 2000x2000px sRGB in JPEG (quality 90) and WebP, ready for Amazon listings and wholesale catalogs.

"A wellness device sells twice: as furniture in the living room scene, and as engineering on the black background." June, Product Photography Team Lead

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does an 8-image set like this cost?

This set came to about $280 at $35 per styled image, the bedroom set and props included. Plain white-background shots for main listing slots start at $12 each, and 10 or more items get 10% off.

How long does the shoot take?

These 8 images were delivered in 6 business days. Home scenes and black-background details run as two sessions in the same studio week.

Can warm-scene photos go on Amazon?

Yes, in the secondary slots, A+ Content, and your brand store, delivered at 2000x2000px. Main images must be the product alone on pure white, which we add at $12 each.

Why photograph the sauna as a side table?

Because it sits unused 23 hours a day. The flat top with tea and a tablet answers the buyer's real question (where does it go), and furniture that hides in plain sight sells.

Why shoot construction details on black?

Distributors buy build quality. Against black, the carved door, brass hinges, stone-inset slats, and bench-seat cutaway all read at full zoom: the wholesale argument, photographed.

Can you add more wellness products later?

Yes. The bedroom set and the black-background template stay on file, so new devices match this campaign, at the standard $12 or $35 per-image rates.
