Makeup Sponge Retail Pack Photography

A sponge is a tactile product sold in clear plastic: the buyer wants to feel the softness through the screen. The session attacked that from three directions, hand-held frames for scale and retail reality, glamour sets with sequins and marble for the campaign slots, and the loose-product frames where foam texture is finally visible. Photography Challenges

1. Orange on everything. The sponge is a saturated warm orange that vibrates against the wrong background. Every set was built on the complementary side, turquoise, cool film, silver sequins, so the product pops without color fights.

2. Blister glare. Clear molded plastic over cardboard throws hard reflections that hide the product. Pack frames needed polarized discipline so the blister disappears and the sponge inside stays visible.

3. Foam that reads soft, not dirty. Loose sponge texture is porous and matte. Raking light shows the pore structure as quality; flat light turns it grubby. The loose frames live or die on light direction.

Our Approach

Complementary set building

Each frame pairs the orange product with its color opposite: turquoise paper, icy iridescent film, silver sequins. The product is the only warm object in frame, which is the whole point.

Hand-held scale frames

The blister packs are shot in hand at reading distance, because for retail tools the buyer’s first question is size. The hand answers it without a ruler. Hand model fee is quoted separately.

Three-state coverage

Sealed pack, travel case, loose sponge: the gallery walks the buyer through every state of ownership, ending on the foam texture macro that makes the softness argument directly.
