Zhumeiquan, a Chinese home care brand, commissioned AIMI Visual Media in Guangzhou, China to photograph its laundry scent booster bead line for e-commerce listings. The product is a 200g rounded plastic bottle with a spherical cap, sold in 7 color-coded scent variants, and the beads themselves are part of the sales story, so several scenes spill them in front of the bottles. We delivered 8 images from our Guangzhou studio: 2 white-background packshots for main-image slots and 6 styled scenes built on pastel color-block sets, including a winter concept with ice props and a monochrome yellow concept, all graded to one saturated high-key master under a full commercial license.

Photography Challenges

1. Seven variants must read as one line. Purple, cyan, magenta, yellow, blush pink, mint, and deep blue bottles all share one bottle shape and one label layout. Any grade drift between scenes makes buyers think the formula changed, so all 8 frames are color-managed against the physical bottles, not against the previous render.

2. Glossy caps pick up every color in the room. The spherical caps are mirror-gloss plastic. On a yellow floor and mint wall they fill with color casts, which is why the caps on the white packshots look a different blue from the scene frames unless the reflections are flagged and the grade pulls the casts back.

3. Spilled beads look staged within minutes. The poured bead piles sell the product format, but plastic granules scatter with every bottle adjustment. Each pile is poured, shaped with a card edge, and shot within a few minutes, because a pile that has been nudged three times reads as debris, not product.

4. Pastel sets shift white balance. A saturated yellow floor bounces warm light up into every label. The white swoosh and the small label text go cream unless the fill is flagged off the floor color and the white balance is locked at 5200K with a grey card on the actual set.

Our Approach

White Packshots

The 2 packshots are the Amazon main-image candidates: single bottle centered, 100mm macro at f/11 so the small label text and the 200g weight line stay readable at full zoom, and a large frontal softbox with black side flags to keep the glossy cap's highlight as one clean vertical streak. The blue and yellow variants were shot back to back on the same locked setup, so the two frames align pixel-for-pixel in a listing gallery.

Color-Block Scenes

The 6 styled scenes build on a two-tone set: mint wall against a saturated yellow floor, with pink geometric risers echoing the bottle colors. The camera sits at 70mm to keep the 7-bottle line undistorted, and the spilled-bead piles are poured fresh per setup. For the winter variant we swapped the pastel set for an icy blue-white one with crystal props and a frosted acrylic panel, lit cooler at 5600K to sell the winter scent cue; the monochrome yellow scene goes the other way, matching wall, floor, flowers, and bottle in one hue so the white beads carry the contrast.

Post-Production and Retouching

All 8 frames grade to one saturated high-key master: white balance locked at 5200K (5600K for the winter scene), +6 saturation on bottle colors only, and -10 highlights on the caps to hold their shape. Color casts from the yellow floor were pulled out of the labels at 200% zoom, and each variant's bottle color was matched to the physical bottle within DeltaE 2. Files were delivered at 2000x2000px sRGB in JPEG (quality 90) and WebP, sized for Amazon image slots and A+ Content modules.

"Seven scents, seven colors, one bottle. If the cyan drifts between the packshot and the scene, the buyer thinks the formula changed." June, Product Photography Team Lead

Frequently Asked Questions

How is a 7-variant line like this priced?

This 8-image set mixes 2 white packshots at $12 per image with 6 styled scenes at $35 per image, which comes to about $234. A 7-variant line already clears the 10-SKU threshold if each variant adds one packshot, which takes 10% off the total.

What's the delivery time for an 8-image set?

This set was delivered in 5 business days, inside our standard 5-7 business day schedule. The styled scenes take most of shoot day, because each color-block set is dressed per variant and every bead pour is fresh.

Are the white-background frames Amazon-compliant?

Yes. The 2 packshots follow Amazon's main-image rules: product only, pure white background, 2000x2000px sRGB, well above the 1000px zoom minimum. The 6 styled scenes are built for secondary slots, A+ Content, and Storefront pages.

Can you show the beads, not just the bottle?

That is what the spilled pours are for. The granules are tipped from a matching capsule and shaped with a card edge minutes before the frame, so buyers see the actual product format next to the bottle. 5 of the 6 styled scenes in this set include a bead pour.

How do you keep 7 bottle colors consistent across scenes?

White balance is locked per set with a grey-card reference, and retouching matches each bottle to the physical product within DeltaE 2. The cyan bottle in the winter scene reads as the same cyan as the packshot, even though the sets are lit 400K apart.

Do you shoot each scent variant on white as well?

Yes. This delivery includes 2 of the 7 variants on white, and the remaining variants can be added as identical locked-setup packshots at $12 per image, aligned to the same centering and shadow recipe.
