The client sells a convertible stroller and asked AIMI Visual Media in Guangzhou, China to shoot the color range for marketplace listings: gray-mint, beige, navy, blue, pink, and heather gray. We shot 6 images in our Guangzhou studio on the white sweep, the stroller pinned to the same floor marks for every color: side three-quarter, canopy open, basket visible, wheels forward, so the range page compares colors without comparing angles, all under a full commercial license.

Photography Challenges

1. A stroller is a piece of furniture on wheels. It is tall, wide, and full of angles. We mark the wheel positions on the studio floor and shoot from a fixed tripod point at 50mm, so all 6 colorways occupy the same frame geometry: buyers compare colors, not camera positions.

2. Fabric color is the product. Heather gray, navy, and pink must match the physical textiles. We shoot a gray card with every colorway and calibrate each frame in post against the actual fabric swatches under D50 light, because a wrong pink is a return.

3. The canopy hides the seat. Open, it blocks the harness; closed, it hides the selling feature. We shoot with the canopy at mid-extension, so the harness and seat padding read through the opening while the canopy's span still shows.

4. Black joints disappear against black tires. The folding hubs and hinges are black on black. We angle a strip softbox to rake the frame, so each joint catches a thin highlight and the mechanism reads as engineering, not as a black knot.

Our Approach

The Colorway Series

One angle, 6 executions: side three-quarter with the canopy at mid-extension, basket and wheels forward. The tripod never moves; only the fabric changes. This is the discipline that makes a range page work.

Detail Within the Frame

Each frame keeps the same internal checklist: harness visible through the canopy opening, white wheel rings readable, basket mesh showing, and the handle curve complete. A packshot is a checklist with a shutter.

Retouching

All 6 frames keep the product honest: fabric colors matched to physical swatches under D50, frame silver consistent, whites at 245-252, and the floor shadow natural. Files went out at 2000x2000px sRGB in JPEG (quality 90) and WebP, ready for Amazon main-image slots.

"A colorway range is a discipline, not a look: lock the tripod, mark the floor, and let only the fabric change." June, Product Photography Team Lead

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a 6-image set like this cost?

This set came to about $72 at $12 per white-background packshot. Styled scenes run $35 each, and 10 or more items get 10% off the whole order.

How long does the shoot take?

These 6 images were delivered in 5 business days. The tripod and floor marks stay fixed; colorways rotate through the same position.

Are these ready for Amazon main images?

Yes. Each stroller stands alone on pure white at 2000x2000px, above the 1000px zoom minimum, with the harness and basket readable at full zoom.

How do you keep 6 colorways consistent?

By locking the tripod and marking the wheel positions on the floor. All 6 frames share the same geometry, so buyers compare colors, not camera positions.

How do you keep fabric colors accurate?

With a gray card in every setup and calibration against physical fabric swatches under D50 light in post. A wrong pink is a return, so the pink must be right.

Can you add new colorways later?

Yes. The floor marks and the light recipe stay in the studio, so new colors slot into the same frame, at the standard $12 packshot rate.
