HOSKA's rugged sports line combines analog-digital displays in black resin cases across two accent colorways. The brief needed both sides of the product's story: a textured flat lay for the catalog and on-model running track frames for the brand's action positioning. All frames were shot at the AIMI Visual Media studio in Guangzhou, China.

Photography Challenges

1. Black resin eats shape under soft light. Matte black cases lose their edges on dark props. A hard raking source draws the case's architecture while the rustic wood supplies the only warm tone in frame.

2. Action shots must keep the watch readable. Running motion blurs product detail. The track frames are shot with the watch arm driving toward camera and a fast shutter, so the dial stays crisp while the background carries the motion.

3. Two colorways, one identity. The accent colors split the line's mood. Both colorways shoot in the identical flat lay and track compositions, so the accent color is the only variable.

Our Approach

Rustic flat lay heroes.

Opening frames set both colorways on the weathered wood, dial to camera under the raking key.

Track action frames.

Middle frames put the watch on the runner's wrist with motion behind, dial locked sharp.

Function macros.

Closing frames document the display, buttons and case back with the 100mm macro.

"A sports watch has to survive two worlds: the catalog table and the track. Both deserve the same honesty." — Garbo, Director of Photography

Frequently Asked Questions

How is a dual flat lay and action set priced?

Styled and on-model frames start at $35 per image under our Growth package, with model fees quoted separately. All rates are starting prices, and the final quote depends on your requirements.

How long does a dual session take?

This set was delivered inside our standard 5-7 business day window: flat lay first, then the track session, then retouching to one master.

Can you keep the watch sharp in action frames?

Yes. Fast shutters and motion-aware composition keep the dial crisp, and files ship at 2000x2000px sRGB.

Can you shoot water-based sports scenes too?

Yes. Splash, pool and outdoor scenes are staged with the same product-first discipline.
